We would highly recommend Claude Vilgrain with Vilmac Systems. He was instrumental in the success of our project, an accessible playground for ages 0 to twelve. From the initial stages of the RFP process – he took the initiative to provide a couple of designs based on some information we had yet to think about (advice we ultimately accepted), through to the instillation; he was there every step of the way. As our resident group was new to this process Claude regularly participated at our meetings, answered all of our questions in a timely manner, and continued to make design changes based on our in-flux budget. The design itself is one of a kind in Calgary, reflecting the uniqueness of the Manchester neighbourhood. During the opening celebrations we took pause for a brief moment to cut the ribbon; which was all too long in the minds of the excited children who exclaimed ‘now let’s go play!’ the moment it was over. This playground has had nothing but positive reviews from the local businesses that overlook the playground, residents and most importantly of all the families that now spend much of their time there. Our school has worked with Mr. Vilgrain in choosing a playground suitable for our younger students. We were very satisfied with the help we got in the process of designing the structure and building it. We were well instructed when the time came to put the Jambette structure in place and we are quite satisfied with the quality of the product. The M.D. of Bighorn has worked with Claude on 2 major volunteer build playground replacements in the last 3 years. We have found he and the Install Supervision Contractors to be flexible and accommodating, providing excellent ideas and resources. Our 2nd project incorporated Jambette structures and we found using this stringer system to be much easier to coordinate; it required less volunteers and removed the headaches of coordinating pre-auguring holes in the correct locations and scheduling weekend concrete deliveries in rural locations.
